Dental Examination

The examination is performed by the dentist using good lighting, a mirror, a dental probe and compressed air to dry the tooth surfaces. Often x-rays are used in conjunction with a visual examination to help detect potential problems before they become hazardous to your health. In addition, regular examinations can save you money by alleviating problems while they are small and before they become expensive to repair, or in some cases, impossible to repair. Your dental examinations generally include the following:

  •  Diagnostic X-rays and/or OPG (if required)
  •  Treatment Planning
  •  Oral Hygiene Instructions
  •  Fluoride Application (if required)
  •  Oral Cancer Screening
